Ted Schmidt, Queer as Folk Episode 513
This is probably one of my favorite quotes from the entire series even though I’m not the biggest Ted fan. I like him and all he’s just not really my cup of tea. However, this quote really speaks to me and it’s something I’m really trying to live my life by. Queer as Folk taught me so many lessons on how to be the best homosexual I could possibly be, but this is probably the best one.

This is a really great quote. And Queer As Folk taught me a lot as well, but it didn’t have so much to do with my sexuality/orientation. Most of the lessons I learned were simply about how to be the best human being I can be. How to be a good person, how to love someone, and how to enjoy the life I was given. No excuses, no apologies, no regrets.

So yesterday I went to Starbucks because I had like four dollars in my wallet and I was thirsty. Anyways, after the lady took my order like usual they ask you what your name is right? Well being me and all in my head I was like “The name Nick is too boring let’s spice this mother fucker up”. So I told the lady my name was Voldemort in the most calm way I could and for like two minutes she looked at me like I was fucking crazy. So I awkwardly walked away and sat down for like another five minutes or so until my drink came, and when I looked at the name on the cup I couldn’t help but to laugh for the longest time.
“The test screenings. Yeah… We did two separate test screens. One for adults, which went great. One for kids, which went even better. And then Disney gave me a comment card that they had framed.” (x)
